Installation and Licensing Guides

These documents guide you through the process of installing Wind River® products and managing your licenses for those products.

Note: These installation and licensing guides replace the Wind River Site Configuration Setup Guides.

In most cases you should use the most recent (highest numbered) version of the documents on this page. If you are not sure, do the following to determine which version of the installer you are using:

  1. Start the installer. To launch the installer, put the disk into your drive, or navigate to the product image. Run the installer application: setup.exe on Windows; setup_linux on Linux; or setup_solaris on Solaris.
  2. Click OK to accept the default installation directory. The Installer – Welcome screen appears.
  3. On this screen
    • If there is a Help button, use the 2.2 documents on this Web page.
    • If installer version is displayed and it begins with 2.1.x or higher, use the 2.1 documents on this Web page.
    • If installer version is displayed and it begins with 1.0.0, use the 2.0 documents on this Web page.
  4. Exit or continue. If you have already installed your products, you can click Cancel to exit the installer program. If you have not yet installed your products, you can do the following:
    • Click Cancel to exit the installer program and install your products later.
    • Click Next to continue installation.
    • Click Cancel and then restart the installation to choose a different installation directory.
