Advanced JTAG Tools for Rapid Hardware and Software Debugging
Wind River standards-based on-chip debugging solutions expedite the hardware development process and support life cycle debug and analysis. With Wind River on-chip debugging, you can:
- Bring up new hardware quickly—even before an operating system is available.
- Ensure that the operating system and middleware run effectively on the hardware early in the development cycle.
- Debug operating system and application software without a software agent.
- Enhance product quality and speed time-to-market.
- Improve overall development productivity by standardizing on a common Eclipse-based debug platform.
- Debug even the most complex 32-bit, 64-bit, and multicore processors, using patent-pending technology.
Wind River Workbench
Based on the Eclipse platform, Wind River Workbench is a collection of tools that accelerates time-to-market for developers building devices with VxWorks and Wind River Linux. Through tight integration with the industry's leading RTOS and the leading device Linux distribution, Workbench offers the only end-to-end, open standards–based collection of tools for device software design, development, debugging, test, and management.
Wind River Workbench, On-Chip Debugging Edition
Based on the industry-standard Eclipse framework and patent-pending hardware diagnostic capabilities, Workbench On-Chip Debugging software combines hardware debugging with a project-based integrated development environment to reduce costs and complexity. It is designed to debug complex multicore solutions, support remote development environments, and deliver seamless integration of hardware and embedded software debug processes.
Wind River Device Management
Wind River Device Management consists of two interoperable products that create a powerful, enterprise-wide infrastructure to enable development and software quality assurance (SQA) engineers to streamline the SQA process, and field engineering teams to streamline the support process. Benefits include faster time-to-market, higher-quality products, and the ability to rapidly and remotely diagnose and repair software defects in deployed devices.
Wind River Compiler
Wind River Compiler enables developers from all industries to create exceptionally fast, tight code for their device software applications. This product combines industry-leading optimization technology with the flexibility and control required to fully exploit today's complex embedded CPUs. Close relationships with silicon partners make it possible for Wind River to provide highly optimized compilers for new silicon with short lead times, enabling customers to immediately gain maximum performance from their investment.
Wind River ICE
This advanced network-based emulator was designed for today's complex processor environments, including 32-bit and 64-bit single and multicore implementations. Simple enough to support the most basic debugging needs, but robust enough to debug up to eight JTAG devices in a single scan chain, Wind River ICE excels in complex system debugging and multisite development. In addition, the same emulator used in the development process can be deployed in test and manufacturing to ensure end-to-end integration.
Wind River Probe
Wind River Probe provides a high-performance JTAG debugging solution via a direct attached USB bus, using 100 percent of the JTAG bandwidth. This high-performance emulator performs common source-level debugging in a matter of seconds. As with Wind River ICE, the same technology used in development is applied in the test and manufacturing cycle.
Wind River Trace
Wind River Trace dramatically reduces debug time by providing information on the underlying cause of specified defects, even when the target is not operational. The trace solution supports internal and external buffered trace capabilities to identify key events that occur while code is running and also provides address and time-stamp information. Using Wind River Trace in a centralized Workbench development environment supports advanced trace and run control debugging and symbol browsing.
