Wind River VxWorks 653 Platform

Wind River VxWorks 653 Platform delivers complete ARINC 653 Part 1, Supplement 2 conformance and expands the ARINC 653 XML configuration capabilities to enable a true multi-vendor platform that supports fully independent RTCA DO-297/EUROCAE ED-124 integrated modular avionics (IMA) supplier sourcing. The platform is certified to DO-178B/C and EUROCAE ED-12B/C Level A.

VxWorks Safety Standards

RTCA DO-178B/DO-178C/EUROCAE ED-12B/ED-12C

The RTCA jointly with EUROCAE publishes guidance on meeting software aspects of aircraft safety and airworthiness as required by regulatory bodies such as the FAA.

ARINC 653

The intent of the ARINC 653 standard is to facilitate the safe and efficient operation of different software safety levels on the same physical hardware to create an IMA architecture.
